Krul keeps the information you give it to help with your applications. This page explains what happens to it.

What Krul keeps

Only what is needed to write for you:

• Your email address: for the invite and for signing in. There is no password.
• What you put in your profile: your CV, notes, writing samples and contact details.
• The vacancies you paste and everything Krul writes for them: this is your archive.

Who works on it

Six services, one job each:

• Neon: the database, in Frankfurt.
• Vercel: the servers Krul runs on.
• Anthropic: the language model that writes. Each writing job sends your CV and the vacancy along. Anthropic's API terms say this data is not used to train models by default.
• Resend: sends the sign-in and invite mails.
• Sentry: catches error reports when something breaks, so it can be fixed. A report holds technical details and sometimes a masked screen recording around the failure. Text and input are unreadable in it.
• PostHog: measures how Krul is used, including replays of how screens are clicked through. Runs in the EU and is linked to your email address; what you type into fields stays out of the recording.

Nothing else leaves the building. There is no advertising, and nothing is sold.

What Krul never does

Krul never sends an application on your behalf. What goes out the door, you send yourself.

Change it or delete it

Want something corrected, or all your data deleted? Mail contact@krul.work and it'll happen asap.

Want to close your account yourself? There is a button for it at the bottom of your profile. It deletes everything at once: your archive, your profile, your voice and the numbers, with no undo.

Deleting an application works right in the app and removes its documents from your archive. The monthly slot it used does not come back.
